Role Overview:
As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in supporting our sales and marketing team. This role is activity-driven and will require you to identify new growth opportunities while providing valuable insights to guide business decisions. Your work will improve data accuracy, enhance reporting quality, and foster collaboration across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Introduce HONK’s software solution, creating a positive and lasting first impression with prospects through proactive cold calling.
- Identify new business opportunities through lead sourcing, prospect repositories, and outbound campaigns.
- Contact both inbound and outbound leads via CRM tools, and execute outbound call campaigns to existing customers.
- Qualify potential leads from various sources including cold call lists, website inquiries, emails, and chat channels.
- Schedule meetings with prospective clients to strengthen and expand the HONK opportunity pipeline.
- Maintain data integrity by verifying and updating lead and account information in Salesforce.
- Track and report on key metrics daily, weekly, and monthly to ensure alignment with sales goals.
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership to meet and exceed targets.
- Attend regular sales meetings and coordinate with other departments, such as marketing, for demand generation.
- Perform sales operations and administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a Business Development Representative (BDR) or in inside sales, ideally within the software or SaaS industry, or other relevant sectors.
- A degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Proven sales aptitude with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quotas and activity targets.
- Strong business acumen and passion for driving value to customers’ businesses.
- Excellent customer service skills with an innate ability to connect with people and provide solutions.
- Proficient in English (oral and written); fluency in French is a strong asset.
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills.
- Experience using Salesforce.
- Adaptability and a positive attitude towards working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
